In order to deal with sound, I built a sound asset list. I filled in all the data in preparation for the sound list to be populated, I'll create as many of the sounds as I can with the available recording equipment. Due of their accessibility, some sounds had to be acquired. All sounds used as sources are covered by a Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 License, which enables me to remix, modify, and build upon the material for any purpose, including commercial.
I selected this approach to organising my audio list because the excel sheet lets me specify the type of sound it is, such as music, sound effects, or dialogue, as well as what that sound is associated with, such as a door or footsteps, and the sheet will generate a filename that matches the fields I filled in, maintaining the naming consistency and making it simple to locate a sound file.
